    Consulting and supervision

    Learning by doing is an extremely effective way to develop competences. This process becomes easier and more effective when practice is accompanied by the opportunity to discuss progress, actions, plans, or difficulties with an experienced teacher. You are welcome to join the intervention implementation counseling and supervision meetings with experts (practitioners) for help and support.

    Content-related counseling on the implementation of interventions.

    What is content-related counselling?

    Content-related counseling involves meetings between the DDU and an expert, who provides guidance and support in implementing the intervention. These meetings include a detailed discussion of the participant’s intervention plan and addressing any concerns related to the content or implementation of the intervention within the organization.

    During the meeting, you will have the opportunity to discuss the intervention plan in your school or pre-school, as well as any potential difficulties that may arise during its implementation and how to address them. The meeting can also be used to address any unforeseen problems that have arisen in the implementation of the intervention since the planning stage. Additionally, content-related counseling can be provided to assess the effectiveness of an intervention in addressing a specific educational issue or working with specific individuals or groups of students.

    What is NOT content-related counseling?

    The meetings are not consultations specifically designed to:

    – obtain brief information on the implementation of the intervention (e.g., by asking only a specific question [several questions] about a detail related to the implementation of the intervention);

    – obtain information about the rules for completing the intervention report;

    – obtain information about the project and participants’ commitments;

    – obtain technical information.

    Answers to these types of questions can be obtained during consultations with the project team, by using the forum at: https://asa.ibe.edu.pl/portal/forum, or by contacting us via email or telephone (unicefasa@ibe.edu.pl; 519897830).

    For whom?

    Content-related counseling is available to project participants (DDUs) who are implementing or planning to implement the interventions listed at the bottom of the page.

    When?

    The counseling sessions will be held in April, May, and June of this year, according to the schedule. We also plan to continue these meetings in the upcoming school year.

    How?

    One-to-one meetings are conducted via the ClickMeeting platform. Links to the individual meetings, along with their dates, can be found at the bottom of this page (by clicking on the tabs corresponding to each topic). Participants can select a meeting and click on the available link to register. During registration, please provide your name, surname, e-mail address, and the RSPO of your school. After successful registration, an e-mail with a unique link will be sent to the provided e-mail address.

    Only one participant will be able to register for a given meeting. If a meeting has already been booked, a message about the limited number of places will appear when you click on the link. More information on how to register for an event can be found at: https://knowledge.clickmeeting.com/pl/video-tutorials/jak-dolaczyc-i-sie-zarejestrowac/

    If you wish to cancel a consultation up to 24 hours before its date, please send an e-mail to: j.twardowska@ibe.edu.pl.

    What is the duration?

    A meeting with an expert lasts 50-60 minutes.

    How do you prepare for a meeting?

    In order to fully benefit from the meeting, we kindly request that you prepare substantively, namely:

    • prepare a plan for implementing the intervention in your school or preschool, along with a description of potential challenges or a set of questions that need to be addressed before beginning the intervention;
    • reflect on the nature or issue of the educational or pedagogical problem in order to consult with the expert regarding the relevance and appropriateness of the planned measures for addressing the diagnosed problem;
    • prepare a description of the current difficulties and methodological problems you encountered during the implementation of the intervention;
    • prepare a case report for discussion, for example, in the event of difficulties in interpreting results or selecting post-diagnostic interventions (in the case of diagnostic interventions);
    • prepare the materials needed to implement the intervention;
    • prepare information on potential cooperation and its course with other professionals from the school and/or subject teachers, as well as the management or administration of the organization;
    • prepare information on the extent and form of cooperation with institutions outside the school.
